Notification of Temporary Service Interruption

I was sorely tempted to put up a “Page Not Found404” or a “site under construction” sign but I can’t really conjure up a good reason to do that. That and if I did do such a thing, I wouldn’t be able to give readers a reason why I will be absent for the next nine days. The simple answer is because of health reasons there’s a very limited number of things I can do in my current condition. Posting regularly is not an option.  Not that I have done much posting anyways recently because of the holiday. Sorry guys. Give me about nine days and hopefully I’ll be good as new.

Service Interruption - Liking and Anonymity

Yes well part of the reason I’ve been gone awhile was because of holiday festivities and annoying but loveable family members coming over.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all the good little gamers, games masters and game sages at Aeria Games were preparing for a week of festivities and events. Some thing to give the community a reason to be merry. Meanwhile, lurking in the shadows of an Aeria Games forum frequented by many and accessible by few, a most heinous act was being committed:

Guess Who's Back

First, I want to say apologize for my little disappearing act. These past few days I've been under the weather and couldn't do as much as I would've liked. I've tried to keep up with the emails and if I haven't responded to any I will respond to it within the next few hours.

Constructing an Excuse - Why No Post

Slowly but surely the content (and graphics) are being changed. Long story short, certain pages and posts need to be edited so that the new layout (and background) don't clash or distort the image. Unfortunately it takes a tiny bit of time to tweak things so it's just right on the more popular browsers. I blame the person using NetScape for why this is taking awhile.

There's one other tiny problem: I am feeling under the weather. Normal posting should resume within 1-2 business days with a ssurprise because you guys have been patient thus far :) If any of you have a cure for runny noses, please let me know. I'm ready to try anything I think.

Interview With a Gamer II

For this series of questions, the answers posted weren't chosen completely at random. The answer to the first question could've been provided by anyone that visits this site. The answers to the second and third question were provided by anyone that said 'yes' to the first question. Demographics for the fourth question are under the question. To keep this as simple and painless as possible, I will provide some stats.

Attention Readers - Reader Feedback

Within reason I post pretty much whatever I want so long as those who help maintain this site are convinced I haven't completely gone overboard. To that end, I will never post anything that is deliberately harmful to anyone regardless of whatever laws are in place. I'm not a mean person in the slightest. Determined, head strong, and really random. That's about it.

Posts are usually constructed in a manner that is supported by user feedback. Comments, instant messages, emails.  And I will stick to that method because the more I try to please though who do provide me with feedback, the more my visitor count goes up. Even my more objectionable posts were supported by an overwhelming majority. It's for this reason I am not inclined nor feel an obligation to ever edit or remove content from a post.

Interview with a Gamer Part I

I apologize for the delay with this post. It was supposed to publish at a certain time.... I chose the wrong time.

Recently we sent out questionnaires to 80 readers. We asked them a wide range of questions that covered anything about this site, AGE customer service, games they play, and legal stuff. Let's get this ball rolling.

A Star is Born: Liar Down Under

Lies are a little fortress; inside them you can feel safe and powerful.Through your fortress of lies you try to run your life and manipulate others. But the fortress needs walls so you build some. These are the justifications for your lies. You know, like you're doing this to protect someone you love, to keep them form feeling pain. Whatever works, just so you feel okay about the lies.

Goodbye & Good Riddance [GS]PraxiaDiealot

Amidst rumors that my blog is the cause for ripples throughout the Shaiya gs/gm team such that game sages are losing their tags without any reason, I’m going to do a little experiment.

In the near future, SailorSpira/[GS]PraxiaDiealot plans to take a break from being a game sage. It’s my understanding she told other Game Sages this much in their private forums. Of course she also notified members of her guild of her intentions as well (although she did give them a reason). As a former Shaiya player as well as a former officer of her guild, it's reasonable for me to show her my gratitude for all she has done.

Service Interruption: Human Error

In the middle of July I made a formal request for a change to the Terms of Service in a ticket. I posted the results in this thread so the community could see why the change would not occur.

Service Interruption: GASM Origins

Note: Before I began this post, I asked persons that could be hurt by it if they wanted to have their identities revealed or if they'd like to be anonymous or given a pseudo-name. I believe I have met the requests of all those mentioned but if any believe I have erred, they can contact me and I will make changes. A result of insuring as much privacy as possible and the subject matter is that this post will be lengthier than some others. This post is not a deviation from the blog's intent. It serves to provide background information about certain events that occurred during my time using AGE services.

Three two Infinity

In my time playing Shaiya I came to have toons on every server, predominantly Lailah and Teos. I played Shaiya for almost two years. During that time I amassed three things that I'll cherish for ever: an infinite number of friends; 13,491 screenshots of guildies, friends, and other visions of random wonder; the privilege of representing three different guilds full of people I often still consider family. KnightsofAnarchy (Teos Light), Devil Dogs (Lailah Fury), and TheBloodGuard (Lailah Light).
